Our horses are essential to the working of our 200 acre potato and garlic farm. They mow, rake and ted hay; plant, hill and dig potatoes; plow and prepare the fields and help out as required. Southern Ontario Draft Horse Workshops offer you a chance to learn how to safely handle and drive draft horses on a working horse farm of 80 acres using Suffolk Punch Horses. Ken has been farming with horses since 1980 and offering workshops since 1999. We offer 2 levels of workshops to accommodate both the novice and the teamster with some experience. The workshops run Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Limit of 6 people per workshop. Three delicious meals a day and accommodation included in the price of $450 Canadian. Contact us for dates. |
